My Must-Have Breastfeeding Products as a Two-Time Exclusively Breastfeeding Mom

As a mom who has exclusively breastfed two babies—one for two years and currently nursing my second for nearly a year—I’ve tried a lot of products. Some were just okay, but others truly made a difference in my breastfeeding journey.

Today, I’m sharing my top breastfeeding essentials—the ones that helped me succeed and made nursing so much easier. You can find all of these in my [Breastfeeding Essentials Amazon storefront HERE. As an Amazon Affiliate, I may earn commissions for qualifying purchases - at no extra cost to you.

1. Silver Nursing Cups (linked HERE)– A Natural Way to Heal Sore Nipples

These pure silver nipple covers were a total game-changer for healing my nipples with my second baby during the newborn stage. Unlike creams that can alter the taste or smell of breast milk, silver has natural antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and healing properties (source).

What I loved most:

✔ Mess-free—just pop them on and off

✔ No need to wash or reapply anything

✔ Helped me heal quickly (I only needed them for about a month/month and a half!)

2. Nipple Shields (linked HERE)– The Only Thing That Helped My Babies Latch

Both of my babies struggled to latch due to oral ties, and nipple shields saved my breastfeeding journey until I could get their ties released.

✔ Perfect for hospital bag must-haves in case of latch issues

✔ Helped me continue nursing while figuring out feeding challenges and to help with pain relief of the early breastfeeding days

✔ The half-shield design (like the one in my storefront) allows baby to still feel skin-to-skin contact

3. Zomee Z2 Double Electric Breast Pump (linked HERE) – The Best Electric Pump I’ve Used

After trying three different pumps, this one was my favorite because:

✔ Small and lightweight - It fit in my diaper bag well for pumping on the go and didn’t take up much space at all!

✔ Wireless with long battery life (great for pumping in the car!)

✔ Super customizable settings—adjust suction strength, speed, and modes for letdown stimulation

✔ Easy to clean and fits most bottles

4. Lactation Massager (linked HERE)– A Must-Have for Clogged Ducts

This was an absolute lifesaver when I had a stubborn clogged duct that wouldn’t budge for two days. Unlike hand massage, this massager:

✔ Reaches deep into breast tissue to break up clogs

✔ Stimulates milk flow faster for nursing or pumping moms

✔ Helped me unclog my milk duct in just five minutes after nothing else worked

Read more about how I used this to clear a clogged duct in my blog, The One Thing That Finally Unclogged My Stubborn Milk Duct.

5. Nursing Bras – The Most Convenient for Breastfeeding

These bras linked HERE have been my go-to with both of my babies because:

✔ Quick and easy to unlatch (perfect for feeding on the go!)

✔ Comfortable for all-day wear

✔ Great for side-lying nursing without needing to take off the whole bra

Final Thoughts

I’m not a medical professional or lactation consultant, just a mom who has breastfed two babies and found what worked for me. These products might not be for everyone, but they truly helped me succeed, and I hope they can help other moms too!
